Lebanon PM welcomes US-Iran ceasefire as Israeli strikes hit Beirut | US-Israel war on Iran

Hours before Israeli air strikes pounded Beirut, causing widespread destruction, Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed optimism in de-escalation hours after Tehran and Washington struck a ceasefire deal. He stressed only Lebanon can negotiate on behalf of the country.
